Over the past six years, SkyeConnect has been a strong and active voice representing the tourism industry and community on Skye, but we are now facing significant challenges due to recent cuts in government funding. We would like to understand what you’d like to see from SkyeConnect going forward. Skye is Scotland’s second most popular destination. The data shows that visitor numbers continue to grow each year and now exceed pre-covid levels. It is alarming that a destination like Skye faces the real possibility of not having a body tasked with managing the visitor economy.
