Clarity on Financial Support for B&B’s and Short-Term Lets
The ASSC is currently engaged in ongoing discussions with policymakers about self-caterer access to various funding support packages provided by the Scottish Government.

New Funding Opportunity from NatureScot
NatureScot has created a new green recovery fund to help manage visitors at nature ‘hotspots’.
The fund ‘Better Places Green Recovery Fund’ – is open for applications until midnight on the 29th January 2021.
The fund offers financial support to undertake the preliminary stages of visitor management planning, including scoping of the issues and interests.
The fund will also support the further development or review of any existing plans, and design work for infrastructure solutions and measures.

Pet Travel Guidance
On the 31st of December the UK Government updated its guidance on Pet Travel to and from Great Britain.
This guidance applies to people travelling to and from Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) with their pet cats, ferrets or dogs, including assistance dogs.
